    Weekending – First Weekend of Fall

    You, guys, I am beyond thrilled that it is finally fall. Summer is all well and good (I am a teacher, after all) but enough with the hot weather and air conditioning. I’m sitting on my sofa right now with the windows open and a wool blanket on my lap – heaven! This weekend was one of the busiest of the year and I’m just now sitting down for a break.     I’m joining Karen at Pumpkin Sunrise for her weekend posts, and maybe I’ll finally resurrect this poor blog of mine.  How many times have I said that? We have been in that end of vacation fog here. We got home yesterday from Cape Cod and today was an equally lazy day. No complaints here! We have stayed in Chatham in years past, but this year headed to Brewster. Our plans were a bit up in the air waiting to find out when Addison would be back from Germany.     Long Weekending

    We’ve just arrived home after a long weekend spent in Marblehead, Massachusetts. Instead of bring our own children, we brought two exchange students (both from France) and it was so much fun to take in the sights through their eyes. I’m a bit sad to have left, but it is always nice to return home. We spent a day in Salem, the girls went shopping in Boston with Greyson while I relaxed at the Inn knitting and reading. All in all, it was a perfect trip. I desperately needed a few days away to not think about school. And I did give it barely a thought.  Now to keep that…
