Or Friday Eve. I made it through another week. At this time tomorrow I will be 30 days into the 2018-2019 school year. I wish I could say I am hitting my stride but that wouldn’t be true. At times I think I might be, and then a day like today proves me wrong. But rather than dwell on what didn’t go right, I’m here to record what did go right.
Suddenly fall colors are everywhere. I’ve noticed on my commute that the leaves are starting to change color. I’m anxiously awaiting that moment when the colors are at their peak and it takes my breath away. I love the fall. It would be even better if the heat and humidity would disappear. It’s too much like Virginia here in Connecticut.
I’ve been working on my first test knit. I’ve wanted to do one for a while and decided to do it just when I am the busiest. But I adore this pattern and it’s been very relaxing. The pattern goes live 10/22 so I will post more information when that happens.
I just got home from our monthly chapter meeting and immediately logged onto the DAR website to register for the GEP classes. I’m so excited to take this course. Greyson actually gave it to me as a Mother’s Day gift but I was taking an online religion course and knew I couldn’t juggle both.
I saw that Ginny is doing Yarn Along again, now once a month. I’m excited to be able to take part in it again. With the stress of work and life in general, I’m hoping to revisit this space. I’ve said that before and didn’t quite succeed, but I am trying to make self-care a priority. That is very hard for a mom and a teacher, let me tell you.
